Discernment in a Spiritually Abundant Era – Part 1/3

In this time of heightened awareness, we’re encouraged to use discernment with everything we learn. We’re being inundated with information from the higher dimensions about spirit, our evolution, and the fall of the planetary elite, and it goes without saying that there are forces out there who are bent on using disinformation to cause confusion.
The planetary elite attempt to misinform the awakening humanity in myriad ways, and this is why we’re encouraged to be discerning. Only we can truly determine what helps us along our journey, and if something resonates in our heart of hearts, we can discern it as genuinely helpful.
What works for one might not work for another, and ultimately, we’re the only ones who can decide what resonates with us and what doesn’t. As long as we make it a point not to accept anything we’re given at face value, we’ll benefit from the genuine spiritual information that’s intended to help us learn and grow.
Discernment is a very simple thing, and we need only to use the open heart space to determine what works best for us and our growth. With the gift of discernment, our endless drive to understand the truth will lead us to the right tools that’ll teach us everything we’re meant to learn.
Here, I’d like to draw on what’s been said from our channeled sources about the importance of discernment when reading or absorbing anything. Our guides have discussed a lot of important subjects with us, and discernment is obviously important enough for them to speak about.
Especially when it comes to channeled material, we’re encouraged to question the insights we’re given before we automatically accept them. Our guides, who encourage discernment, wouldn’t want us to follow their messages without questioning the insights they contain.
First, Archangel Metatron through channel Natalie Glasson tells us about the discernment-raising effect seeking truth has on us.
“Seeking truth can ask you to question yourself, your beliefs and your understanding. Seeking truth asks you to be discerning and to clear yourself of false beliefs while raising your energy vibration so that you are open and awake to new inspirations and insights that fill you with love and amazement.
“Seeking truth asks you to familiarise yourself with your own energies and your thought processes so that you may pin point from where within your being your truth is unfolding.” (1)
When we start seeking truth, we act on the inner-drive to learn things we would’ve previously scoffed at. We’re encouraged to keep our minds and hearts open when we learn anything new, but we’re also encouraged to filter the truth from the unhelpful misinformation.
Again, what seems like misinformation to one seeker might be very helpful to another, because we’re blessed with the gift of individual discernment. Certain information doesn’t have to resonate with you for it to resonate with someone else, and in time, all of humanity will learn the importance of respecting each other’s interpretations of the truth.
Don’t get me wrong – there is all-out disinformation out there, the only aim of which is to confuse and twist things around, and for this reason, we should be vigilant. However, I think there are far more genuine sources of spiritual and alternative news than sources that aim to deceive. We’ve come a long way, even if we don’t realize it.
We’re then told about the ego-driven mechanisms that can cloud our perspective when we initially become aware.
“If when you access your truth or inspiration within you the ego activates and egotistical reactions occur then you know that you have not yet stimulated your inner truth.
“Egotistical reactions can be the feeling of wishing to prove another wrong, manipulation, your power being enhanced while taking away the power of others. Even sadness, negativity, lack, bullying, judgement and fear are aspects of the ego which can cloud the truth or divine inspiration from unfolding within your being.” (2)
The ego will try very hard to stop us from becoming aware, but we can see beyond its programming and into the light of a much less distorted perception as we discern its lower emotions from the progressive ones that’ll lead us onward.
Emotions can either work for or against our development. If we let it, the ego will use negative emotions to keep us trapped in the lower state of consciousness that helps it thrive, but we can transcend lower emotion in the name of the higher emotion we have the opportunity to feel.
As we’re told below, our growing awareness will help us discern when we’re feeding into a negative state of consciousness.
“The more that you become familiar with the way that you act and react in your daily life the more you will notice when you are speaking, thinking or feeling an illusion and when the truth is emerging from within your being. You may see that seeking to realise your own inner truth which could also be described as your intuition or the voice of the Creator is a powerful process of learning and growth.” (3)
It’s a powerful process indeed, and from what I’ve experienced so far, it seems like one that ferociously wakes us up out of our deeply rooted slumbers. We become aware of everything we do, think and say from a higher perspective, and we’re very easily able to tell when we aren’t feeding into the higher state of consciousness we want to experience.
Heart-centered discernment doesn’t just help us confirm the validity of the things we learn – it also helps us understand when we aren’t living up to our potential.

Continued from Part 1
Hilarion through Marlene Swetlishoff tells us that our growing spiritual awareness is leading us to root all of the negativity out of our lives.
“The process of the re-evaluation of your lives and what is important for your greater health, well being and happiness and the letting go of all that does not serve you has been uppermost in your hearts.
“Some decisions are difficult to make as it means a resetting and reformulating of your former priorities and goals. Asking yourselves some hard questions has been helping you to see with more clarity those areas and ways of being that hold you back from moving forward with enthusiasm and joy.” (1)
With the power of discernment, we’re able to make the changes that are necessary for our greater growth and development. There are plenty of things here on earth that could easily hold us back from a purer perception, and this is why our vigilance is important.

We really only need to ask ourselves what is and isn’t working for us, and we’ll find that the answers are pretty clear from a heart-centered space.
Hilarion continues, telling us that when it comes down to it, we should pursue things that fill us with the greatest level of joy.
“Just remember that the bottom line in each choice that you make is: does this make you feel good about yourself, does it bring more expansion and empowerment to you, do you feel inspired and uplifted, and do you feel a greater sense of freedom when you contemplate the value of a relationship, goal or desire in your everyday life.” (2)
All that really matters is that we enjoy the things we do. We could do plenty of things out of obligation, but what joy is to be found on the beaten path? We’ll do ourselves and the world around us an immense justice when we pursue endeavors that fill us with joyful bliss.
We’re then told that our rigid judgments and expectations will fade when we find our true passion and pursue it with faith.
“As you continue to do this with everything that comes up for review, it lifts away all expectations you may have been carrying within yourself about whether you are doing the right thing or are a part of a project that really does not resonate with your true being and your goal to continue to expand in all areas of your lives.” (3)
The ultimate goal is expansion and, for many of us, service, and no matter what we choose to do, our will and intent are important. If everything the conscious community believes in was somehow invalidated, I’d still respect the level of driven, motivated service it’s caused for the betterment of the planet.
Like I’ve said before, the intent to serve is more important than the service itself, and if our heart’s in the right place, we’ll reap the fruit of our efforts.
As we’re told below, sometimes, the rigidity we feel within isn’t our own.
“You are finding that sometimes you have been carrying the expectations and energies of others within your being which have created unhappiness within you and you are seeing that it is most important to be true to yourselves in every aspect of your lives.
“It is most important to give love to yourselves in these instances, to nurture and give yourselves the right to change your direction while honoring the other. In all things the barometer is the love that you feel for yourself.” (4)
As long as love and the intent to do something positive is there, our efforts are duly noted in the higher realms. Sometimes, we’ll harbor feelings and emotions that we’ve accumulated from others, and we can recognize these situations as necessary for our overall growth.
We still have a lot to learn, and sometimes, the recognition that our lower emotion doesn’t actually belong to us will give us a new perspective on it and the situation that caused it.
Archangel Michael through Ronna Herman tells us that among the genuine channeled information out there, there’s distorted information that we should be aware of.
“…With the great variety of new information, much of which was/is in harmony with the concepts and teachings of the Hierarchy and Beings of Light, there was/is still information that is brought forth in thought forms that are filtered through the belief systems and reality of the messenger – information that is conflicting and confusing – some partially true, much shaded truth, and even some distorted fallacies picked up from the myths of mass consciousness.” (5)
It’s important to hone our discernment so we don’t fall for the distorted information out there, because it certainly exists and has casted genuine channels in a bad light. It isn’t very hard to discern between positive and negative channeled material, and if we can open our minds just a little bit, we’ll discover the amazing material genuine channels are offering.
It’s essential that we go out of our way not to fall for the inaccurate information out there, and luckily, we have a lot of genuine sources of information to choose from.
AAM then tells us about the importance of filtering everything we learn through the heart space.
“Long ago, we gave you a caveat: ‘Always process any new teachings through your Sacred Heart/Mind before you accept it as your truth.’ Discernment is an integral part of Self-mastery…” (6)
We shouldn’t just accept everything we’re given without questioning it in a deeper way, and our guides encourage us to question their messages and anything else that’s potentially beneficial to our growth. Just like we should be discerning with the things our governments tell us, we should make it a point not to take the spiritual material we absorb at face value.
No matter what, the best and purest truths will always be found within. Our unique perspectives enable us each to empower different concepts, and as long as we use discernment, we’ll open up to a whole new realm of experience and insight.

Concluded from Part 2
As Archangel Michael (via Ronna Herman) tells us below, our ongoing evolution is partly responsible for some of the conflicting things we’re feeling.
“Some of you have been receiving disconnected and disturbing thoughts, and are dreaming vividly and in great detail. We tell you that you are beginning to access some of your parallel lives, some of your Higher Self, Sparks of Light who are experiencing other dimensions.
“Many of you who could be termed to be ‘on the fast track of Ascension’ are in the process of integrating more and more fragments of your Higher Self, and as a result, you may be experiencing much confusing or conflicting information.” (1)
In time, we’ll sort out all of the seemingly random and chaotic information and energy we’re being given. We need simply to start the process of integration into the higher vibration we’re entering to clear some of the confusion and access the truths of our existence in a realer way.

We won’t have to worry about conflicting information in the immediate future, and instead, we’ll be able to clearly and intelligently understand everything that would’ve been over our heads before.
We’re then told that we can pick and choose what works best for us in the sea of scattered information we’re being given.
“Sometimes, you may experience distorted information and thought forms that do not seem to belong to you, and other times, you may receive wondrous insights and profound new concepts. Allow these new concepts to slowly filter into your consciousness, and if they resonate as Truth within your Sacred Heart and Mind, it is appropriate to integrate and make use of the new knowledge.” (2)
If some of the things we learn don’t initially resonate with us, we can leave them for the time being and focus on things that do resonate and that fill us with passionate inspiration. Beyond attaining enlightenment, a lot of people seek an exciting outlet to awaken those around them in the purest and most genuine ways possible.
When we sort the concepts and ideas that work for us from the ones that don’t, we’ll empower ourselves to work away with the ideas that resonate in mind. Inspiration is a wonderful thing, but it can only be felt if we believe in the authenticity of what we’re doing.
I certainly couldn’t research and write about channeled messages if I hadn’t reached a level of personal assurance about the material I’m examining. I make it a point to use my highest level of discernment, and if something doesn’t resonate with me, I respectfully keep in mind that it could resonate with another.
Archangel Michael then encourages us to transmute the deceptive thought forms that seek to confuse.
“However, just as with the emotions and thoughts which well up from within your own Being that are based on fear or negativity of any sort, see the thought forms that are not love-based or joyful instantly transmuted into pure, Divine Light substance and release them.” (3)
We can release every negative and confusing thought form that comes our way if we keep in mind that the divine is constantly with us, and with the open and brimming heart space by our side, we can visualize every lower emotion dissolving before us.
After some of the hardest work is done, humanity will have fully transmuted and moved beyond every bit of negativity that’s held us back from our greater potential. When this time comes, we can look back on our work with appreciation for all of the genuine help we were given.
We’ll eventually find it in ourselves to forgive the forces who’ve ravaged the planet and deceived humanity for centuries, and we’ll recognize the role they played in feeding the very deceptive thought forms we’re encouraged to use our discernment against. All will be forgiven and transmuted in due time.
The Universal Mother Mary through Linda Dillon encourages us to use our heart-centered discernment with everything we’re given.
“When you read a piece of information, when you watch something on TV, when you listen to something on the radio, you think two things. One, according to the change in constancy, is this change contributing to the anchoring of myself, humanity and Gaia in the higher dimensional realms? Is it of love?
“We’re not talking about even doing an analysis because dear heart your societies tend to analyze things to death. We are talking about heart discernment. Does it feel like love? It is a very quick yes or no.” (4)
It’s very easy to tell whether or not something resonates in the open heart space. Everything lower-vibrational will be recognized as such from the fullness of this space, and from a higher perspective, the lower qualities that could very well interest the rest of society become uninteresting hindrances.
The heart is very easily able to recognize the things that are meant to keep us from a greater perception, and while the mind is content to endlessly analyze a situation, the heart needs only a simple feeling-based discernment.
In our final quote, Archangel Michael via Ronna Herman tells us that discernment and discipline will become easier as time goes on.
“Learning to live consciously will require much discipline in the beginning phase; however, as time passes, you will find that your mind-set has expanded into a more in-depth awareness of what is going on around you and within as well. Leaving the old world behind can be bitter sweet.
“Remember, you are not coming to a dead end – you are stepping through a portal into a new beginning. You must decide what you wish to take with you into your new world, and you must discern lovingly, but firmly, what you must leave behind.” (5)
After we make the most difficult decisions about what we’ll leave behind, the path opens up for us and it becomes much easier to act on the discipline we’re starting to hone. Letting ourselves step fully into the concepts and ideas that empower us while respectfully rejecting the things that don’t will enable us to soar with the gifts and abilities we’re rediscovering.
Discernment is very important on the path of spiritual evolution, but despite its importance, it’s a very simple thing that only requires an ability to listen to what the heart has to say.
We’re growing into a purer perception of the reality around us, and from the heart space, we’ll be able to discern what does and doesn’t encourage our growth and expansion. The common seeker who’s opened their heart isn’t taken in by distorted or deceptive information or energy, and in time, all of humanity will understand spirit and the importance of severing their lower ties.
The pace with which we’re being inundated with information about spirit makes our heart-centered discipline essential, and we’re fortunate to be able to call upon the heart space when we aren’t sure if a thought form or the energy/information it carries has our best interest in mind.
Let discernment show the way, because we have a lot of genuine things to learn and a lot of spiritually inspired work to do.

Discernment in a Spiritually Abundant Era: Continued – Part 1/2

In a previous article, Discernment in a Spiritually Abundant Era, I explored the necessity of using discernment with everything we learn and every lower emotion that presents itself to us. As you can probably imagine, there’s far more material on the subject than what we initially explored, and I’d like to continue exploring it here.
You’d think only so much could be said about discernment, but our channeled sources have taken a lot of opportunities to encourage us to question as much as we can. One of the most interesting things about channels is that all of the genuine ones seem to run along similar themes, even though the scribes are in different places – different countries, in some cases.
The extent to which various independent messages confirm and expand on themes that are presented in others is very interesting, and in my view, it’s an argument for the validity of modern channels. Clearly, some type of coordination is taking place, which seems to confirm the notion that various evolved souls and collectives work with each other to speak to humanity.

In our first quote, Jeshua through John Smallman lays out the mass awakening currently taking place.
“Humanity is evolving spiritually from a state of unquestioning acceptance of what their culture tells them is the truth, to a level where so-called truths, on the human stage, are questioned and investigated. This is an essential step in your awakening process.” (1)
It’s obviously essential that we question the lies our media endlessly hashes out, and an independent society that’s capable of questioning the things we’re told will excel greatly. We’ll prosper beyond our wildest dreams when widespread awareness sets in and we start questioning the people in power, and cultivating discernment is the first step to constructing a new world.
Jeshua continues: “When discernment sets in, anything of value can be retained while discarding any nonsensical dogma that has become attached to these philosophies over the ages, but which still demands unconditional doctrinal adherence, even though they have become manifestly corrupted and misinterpreted.
“Openness is the key to growth, to evolution, because that encourages people to investigate premises that have been taken for granted and to re-evaluate them in the light of new knowledge.” (2)
We can question the things we’ve been programmed to follow from a higher perspective, and in doing so, we’ll see that most religions are highly distorted. Every religion sheds a little bit of light on the truth of our existence, but unfortunately, many of them are laced with prejudice and dogma.
Humanity will need to learn to accept and love each other if we want to change the manner in which the planet functions, and we’ll benefit greatly when we learn not to blindly accept the religious and spiritual teachings we’re given.
Archangel Sandalphon through Ute Posegga-Rudel distinguishes the genuine light expressed in many channels from the ‘artificial light’ that apparently tests our discernment.
“There are Millions of Light Forces who Serve that Glorious Divine Will, incarnated and not incarnated, on your planet, who are – with the weapons of Radiant Light – outshining everything that is dark and characterized by ignorance.
“But still your discrimination is required to feel and understand the difference between the Real Light and the artificial light that is intended to test you. It is about your own learning process to Know at heart the Presence of Love and Unity and to detect the mind of separation in what only appears to be of the light.” (3)
We’re able to recognize artificiality in the channeled messages or spiritually inclined writings we read by the amount of love and sincerity that are absent from them, and when this love clearly isn’t present or only seems present in small, unenthusiastic, or lazy doses, we can discern that the source doesn’t contain the genuine light we seek.
With all of the options out there, we’re bound to find spiritually inspired material that resonates with us and refreshes our perspective on the truths we seek to understand. We certainly have a lot to learn, and finding sources that work for us will help us with our studies.
Of course, seeking within is the best thing we can do, but a little bit of outside help in the form of channeled or written spiritual material doesn’t hurt.
Archangel Sandalphon then tells us that artificial things don’t contain the spiritual essence most seekers are looking for.
“Ignorance is void of the Fullness of Divine Existence, as it has cut off itself from It, trying to survive independently from Highest Divine Intelligence, Which includes the Miraculous Vibration of Love, Joy and Ecstasy!” (4)
If the things we’re doing or learning don’t fill us with joy and exuberance, then we aren’t meant to be doing them. We have to feel passionate about the things we do and the genuine material we read, because otherwise, we’ll fall into the pattern of artificiality that’s prevalent in too much of the world.
The Angels, speaking through Elizabeth Ayres Escher, tell us that we have the full ability to welcome and reject certain things from our lives.
“When surveying the news carried on mass media, do you allow yourself to fall into a flunk of despair and fear or are you able to view the content with an air of detachment and compassion? It is your choice.
“If you have truly entered the higher frequencies of the fourth dimension and have touched the fifth and higher within your meditations and spiritual exercises, you now have the ability to make choices as to what you will accept into your world.” (5)
As our vibration continues to rise, our ability to accept the things that help us and reject the things that don’t will grow to new heights and we’ll be endlessly able to reject lower things that hold us back from the greater perception we seek to attain.
If we accept the darkness that’s so common on earth, we’ll become instruments for its expression and feed into the fray like everyone else. We have the opportunity to choose a higher way, and we can take this opportunity as we move beyond anything and everything that could hold us back.
The Angels then confirm what I’ve said above.
“You can choose to detach from the mayhem that still exists as the rigidly dualistic systems of the old world continue to deteriorate or you can choose to engage the new energies by developing new ways of being.
“Follow the directions given by your heart, through the feelings emanating from your high heart center. Know that you contain everything you need to complete your journey within your own being once you have made that connection through the heart with your greater Self.” (6)
Do you notice how many independent channeled sources have encouraged us to follow the guidance of the open heart space? Heart-centered discernment is a very important theme among the respective sources speaking to us through channels, and their coordination in getting this message across through various different scribes is uncanny.
Perhaps this coordination speaks to the importance of the subject at hand!
