The Act of 1871 was repealed three years later and concerned only the Washington,DC Municipal city State— there are not just two Constitutions and the proper American government is a Republic — a completely different form of government from a democracy!!!!
There is The Constitution for the ‘u’nited States of America, the Constitution of the ‘U’nited States of America, and since the 1940’s the Constitution of the United States.
- Am I the only one in America who can read and notice that these are three separate named documents?
- Am I the only one who cringes every time I hear am American talking about “democracy” as if that was EVER what our government was supposed to be?
Ever heard of American Individualism? That’s the Republic we are heir to, the guaranty of individual rights.
What in God’s name does that have to do with “democracy”— which is mob rule?
In America every man’s house is his castle. In the United States, if 51% of your neighbors want your house they can have it.
So are you an American or a United States Citizen?
Do you live in a democracy or a republic?
In which do you want to live???
How many “constitutions” are there? There are at least four published constitutions that impact Americans and many hundreds of other “constitutions” that affect other nations and organizations. A “constitution” is a general name for a particular kind of document– like a will, or a charter or a trust indenture.
Wake up, folks, and please, wake up all the way!
