One of the victims involved in the horrific murder of five people in a Modesto home Saturday has been identified by family members.
Dr. Amanda Crews was identified to News10 by her sister-in-law, who wished to remain anonymous, Sunday night. Crews was killed along with three children and another adult who were found inside the Modesto home.
Crews' sister-in-law said that the victim and the suspect, 30-year-old Martin Martinez, had a troubled past that involved physical abuse. The family member told News10 that Martinez was Crews' ex-boyfriend.
Crews was the mother of two of the three children killed. The kids ranged from 6-months old to 6-years-old.
News10 was told that Crews worked as a doctor at the Turlock Medical Office.
Martinez was arrested in San Jose and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of murder.
The victims were found inside a home just north of Floyd Avenue in Modesto around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to Heather Graves with the Modesto Police Department.
Modesto police said in a Facebook post Sunday that all of the victims are female and that the deceased children were between 6 months old and 6 years old.
