Expanded Consciousness — Reconnect, Evolve, Ascend

Individualism, consumerism, and progressive success has constrained us to lower consciousness. We yearn to ascend and expand it. Learn how.
We tend to spend most of our lives being concerned with our survival and with our success.
Forgive me for saying this, but in many cases we are more concerned to be successful and achieve recognition, than to care for our loved ones. It’s harsh — as all bare truths are.
It’s a result of us living in states of lower consciousness, and it is this very consciousness that keeps us chained — so that we are unable to, and eventually become unwilling to, go beyond the safe and satisfying comfort zone (which has become the hallmark of our individualistic consumer-centric society and culture).
How Social Structures Constrain Us to Our Lower Consciousness
Ironically, in an age of expanding opportunities through engineering and technology, we have created a society and culture where practical, un-introspective, and self-justifying thoughts and actions are rewarded — further incentivizing the masses from moving away from their comfort zones.As a result, we observe the following norms:
- Readily avenging ourselves,
- Being responsive to actions that generate immediate happiness (i.e. instant gratification) in favor of sacrifice,
- Shifting blame and finding scapegoats, and
- Being self-fulfilled, and advising and living by an ethos of self-centric lifestyle.
Additionally, the news media has made us lock our stores of compassion and empathy. As breaking news come to vividly haunt us, we have become more than ever hoarders of empathic and compassionate energies.
These energies are meant to flow out. They are not meant to be stored within the feeble containers that are our ourselves.
The result is a further suppression of our Inner Child — that naturally innocent, curious, and playful part of our existence.
As these energies ooze and explode out of our beings unnaturally, in self-destructive ways, we feel a void in our existence.
Why Our Spirit Strives to Ascend and Expand Our Consciousness
As our souls evolve, our spirits and our minds crave to journey and ascend to our expanded consciousness (or higher consciousness).Is it not true that now more than ever, spiritual quotes, motivational speakers, and people who have moved through hardships inspire us, and emotionally move us.
Why?
Because kindness and empathy and, in turn, kind and empathic words have become powerful for us. We have tried to filter them for so long that at times even small doses change us.
And we yearn for those small doses, because our spirits are meant to expand and to evolve, forcing our consciousness to expand every once in a while.
It occurs when we loosen our hold on our egos, pride, self-justification, and our fear of being seen vulnerable (because of being kind and empathic towards others).
And as we do, we transcend to a less biased and more universal perspective. This is the expanded consciousness. This is the state where our minds move beyond its primal, self-centered, cravings.
As a result, we are able to think of others in an expanded manner, baring our stores of empathy and compassion and, in turn, making ourselves open to self-sacrifice.
What We Experience When We Reach Our Higher and Expanded Consciousness
Within expanded consciousness, we are able to see that other people’s behavior are driven by their own individual circumstances, which they are in no position to share with us.As a result, we see that their actions are not directed towards us, but they are a struggle to simultaneously relay and suppress the voice of their Inner Child.
When we ascend to the higher consciousness, we realize the loss of conversation that these people are experiencing with their Inner Child, one who is now voicing out its hurt and pain.
When we realize that, the actions of others, individuals and masses, no longer become a thing that exists to hurt us, but it is a voice, a calling in public for someone at a higher level to realize their suffering and come to aid them.
As we reach the precipice of the higher consciousness, we see not a cliff withstanding the abyss of fear, hurt, and cynical aggression, but rather another lighthouse capable of guiding a fleet of lost souls.
There, we simply regain our natural ability to understand the distress behind the callings, wailings, and actions of the people around us, instead of how they are affecting us.
At this level, we are able to understand that the appropriate response to our humanity is not to mirror reactions into actions, but rather to allow them to see empathy, kindness, and love.
