They are setting them up big time.. Setting all the dominoes in place for WWIII. Sad, sad, sad to watch them use their people as cannon fodder. Sadder still to see men (of all faiths) justify murder in the name of a god. Man does the murder, not god.
Religious violence can take on a particularly intense and ruthless character. The problem of a holy war is difficult for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to eliminate from within because it's so deeply rooted in their traditions. The same traditions that affirm God to be compassionate, merciful, and just, also include more disturbing claims that promote religious hatred and intolerance.
