How Do You Celebrate 420? – Top 420 Events around the US

April 20^th (4/20) is almost upon us. With over half of US states now having some form of legalized medical marijuana, and over half the population supporting marijuana reform, this years 420 events should be spectacular.

What are the must see events?

We all know that Denver Colorado is the place to be this 4/20. And the place to be in Denver? The 2015 Denver Cannabis Cup! The three day event will last from April 18^th through the 20^th. The 2015 Denver Cannabis Cup is hosted by High Times, and will include performances by Snoop Dog and more! The Marijuana Investor Summit follows from the 20^th through 22^nd at the Denver Crown Plaza Hotel. Southern California Loves Weed! If you live in SoCal, and can’t get away to Denver, there are a few events going on there as well. My top 2 picks are the 420 all day rager at Saint Rocke, in Hermosa Beach, and the 420 Freedom Fest at 1726 N. Spring St., Los Angeles.

There is the Oaksterdam 420 Celebration. at 3pm over at the Oaksterdam University in Oakland, and the The 4/20 Bake Off at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for San Francisco stoners who can’t make it to Denver.

If you are in Oregon, you can head down to Salem and join in the Cannabis Awareness Walk at the state Capitol.

New Yorkers can celebrate with a Reefer Madness Reunion Concert on April 19^th and 20^th at Broadways 54 Below.

Southerners can rejoice at Atlantas Sweetwater 4/20 Fest (a 3 day music fest in the vein of Cochella).

Celebrate 420 responsibly

If you can’t make it to any of these 420 events, check your local area to find events near you. It is important the the marijuana legalization supports get out in numbers to show their support for marijuana law reform. Wherever you happen to be celebrating 420 this year, remember to do so responsibly. Recent polls show that 53% of Americans support legalizing Marijuana for recreational use. However, that means 47% are opposed. Let’s use this years 420 celebrations to show those people that marijuana smokers are not bad people.

4/20 EVENTS, PARTIES AND PRIZES

The Best Holiday Ever

So, 4/20 is here and it’s time to start planning how you intend to celebrate the best holiday known to manknid. Many patients (myself included) wait until the last minute to decide, which is totally acceptable and sometimes even encouraged. But we wanted to make sure that when it comes time to make that crucial decision, you know your options. And this year you have some REALLY good options. For example:

Phoenix 420 Events

Compassion First is having a HUGE 4/20 celebration. They are having a 420 Legalization Awareness Event with special guest appearances by Property 6, Gene “Poo Poo Man” Anderson and many other local Jazz, Blues, Rock and Reggae artists. There will be tons of activities for patients & a huge day of provide medical marijuana awareness.

You could also check out Camp 420’s celebration. They are having a 420 Peace Rally and Smokeout at Indian School Park. This is a peaceful rally to help support the effort to end the prohibition of Marijuana.

The Firehouse in Scottsdale is also having a 420 Party Friday night from 8pm to close with DJ Sonny performing.

Tucson 420 Events

If you live in Southern Arizona, there are 420 events in Tucson. This 4/20 you can join AZ4NORML, Cheba Hut and other marijuana activists in Tucson’s Worldwide Marijuana March as they march in support of sensible marijuana policies. The Worldwide Marijuana March starts on Friday, April 20th at 3PM in Tucson on the southwest corner of Broadway and Park. The march ends at Cheba Hut with food, music and activities.
