Breaking: Explosions in New York City, Charlottesville Virginia
Posted on September 17, 2016 by sundanceDeveloping – Earlier today there was a detonation of explosive device in New Jersey. Currently Firefighters are at the scene of an explosion in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood, and another in Charlottesville Virginia.
The Fire Department of New York said there were reports of 15 patients, all with minor injuries, and there were no reports of fatalities.
[Via New York Post] A dumpster blew up at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night in Chelsea, blowing out the lower windows of a 14-story residence for the blind. At least 26 suffered minor injuries from what may have been an explosive device, police sources told The Post.
The explosion, described by one neighbor as “deafening,” happened outside the Associated Blind Housing facility at 135 W. 23rd Street. The facility provides housing, training and other services for the blind. (read more)
