World in crisis…

I sat on my Ascension porch today and looked down over the valley and
just thought about everything going on in the world right now. I kept
wondering why everything was happening as it was, what did the world
need to set things right again. It all seemed so overwhelming and the
problems so gigantic, and yet the longer I sat there and thought about
it became perfectly obvious to me. The world is suffering the bottomless
pit of needing to be loved! We have been disconnected from spirit and
God for so long now we have lost our ability to love and be loved. Do we
even really know how? It seems to me the world views love as a partner,
sex, marriage etc. To really love entails so much more than the
corporate style love we have been spoonfed forever, pushed and shoved
into a type of love that has been made to be something we are almost
guaranteed to fail at. A picture has been painted for us all to attain,
but can we and even more to the point, do we want to? I personally pull
away from the corporate love built up in our minds by continual
programming.
Love was not portrayed for us all as compassion and caring for all of
humanity. It was always the partner we had to capture and hold on to,
it was about holidays that resulted in buying gifts for our loved ones
(clever corporate America), women were asked to give up their names when
they got married and take on the mans name. I never could understand
that bit of insanity. Why in God’s name should we stop being who we are
when we get married? This is not the core of what truly loving is all
about! Love is about deeply caring about others around you, feeling
compassion for everyone around you, giving, helping.
I remember once years ago coming to a stunning realization that
changed the course of my life in many ways. I had spent so much energy
hating George W. Bush, so much so I would practically trip over myself
trying to get to the TV remote control and mute it whenever he came on
TV. The sound of his voice was like nails on a chalk board to me. Then
one day I suddenly realized if he had not been president and done the
evil horrific things he had done we would never have felt compelled to
create change, we would have remained as we were. He was the catalyst
that moved this country’s awareness at long last to what was really
happening. Sorry, I could never conjure up feeling love for the man,
nope, I couldn’t go that far, but I could release him and accept him
thankfully for finally forcing awareness to the surface of our lives. I
could finally see beyond the hatred to the good that he was forcing us
to hunger after and see things differently and finally have hope for
better.
We all now seem to be on the same page about war thank God! We all
care enough now to not want others to be hurt, to have their lives
destroyed, their loved ones murdered. This was the beginning stages of
our universal caring. We had been shielded for so long as to what war
was really all about because the Dark ones knew it would activate and
tug at our heart-strings if we were allowed to see the devastation and
then we would be against war and war was their meal ticket to what they
wanted to do. War meant money to them. Somehow we were able to get
around them and finally understand the gruesome results that war brought
about. Internet coverage of war did that I guess, seeing truth instead
of the false, sterile war main stream media provided. We know now we
want peace and to love one another around the world and to finally get
along. We get it and we must not let go of that knowledge.
This is what love is truly all about. Caring for others and feeling
compassion for them, hurting when they hurt, feeling joy when they
encounter joy and sharing those feelings with each other. The walls must
come down and we must be able to reach out to the world no matter where
we are and express our feelings to the world. The internet has provided
that platform for millions of people now and it is helping to open up
hearts. It must begin at home first however. We must learn how to love
ourselves as we are, warts, flaws and all and to care about how we feel
and how we live our lives. Only then can we branch out to our neighbors
and across the state and eventually out into the world.
What it all boils down to is we all want to feel loved. The world is
so desperately lacking in love! We all want validation, we all want to
know we matter to others, that others care about us, and I wish to make
the strong point here of including the animal kingdom. For far too long
we have abused the animals of earth, considered them beneath us,
unworthy of having a place in the world. That must stop immediately! We
are all equal in every way and until we recognize this fact then we are
not truly being loving in our lives! Let us learn to love ourselves,
love each other no matter what the skin color, religion, species etc.
and open our arms to them all and offer our compassion and love. We all
want it, we are all starving for it, let us do something about it! Let
us learn to love ourselves and the world.
Blessings to you all,
