If you're anything like us, you were FREAKING OUT watching Winona Ryder's weird ass reactions to her costar David Harbour's speech as he blasted Donald Trump and pledged Hollywood " Winona Rider facial expressions freaks out everyone and has made the way around the Internet — and now we've got some explanation for the actress' bizarre behavior.
Winona Ryder should probably win a Screen Actors Guild Award for her facial expressions at the award show.
The actress hit the stage with the rest of the "Stranger Things" cast in order to accept the award for Best Drama Ensemble, and her co-star David Harbour took the mic to give a speech on behalf of the cast. The ecstatic cast was jumping up and down as he began his speech -- and then things got very loud, heated and political.
As Harbour belted out why we had to stand up to bullies and more, Ryder looked genuinely confused, shocked and perplexed at the whole situation.
Naturally, social media couldn't help but capture the "many faces of Winona."
Check out Harbour's speech below, which elicited Winona's facial expressions:
"In light of all that is going on in the world today, it is difficult to celebrate the already-celebrated Stranger Things. But this award from you, who take your craft seriously and earnestly believe — like me — that great acting can change the world, is a call to arms from our fellow craftsmen and -women to go deeper and through our art, to battle against fear, self-centeredness, and the exclusivity of a predominantly narcissistic culture and through our craft to cultivate a more empathetic and understanding society by revealing intimate truths that serve as a forceful reminder to folks that when they feel broken and afraid and tired, they are not alone. We are united in that we are all human beings and we are all together on this horrible, painful, joyous, exciting, and mysterious ride that is being alive. Now, as we act in the continuing narrative of Stranger Things , we 1983 Midwesterners will repel bullies. We will shelter freaks and outcasts, those who have no home. We will get past the lies. We will hunt monsters. And when we are at a loss amidst the hypocrisy and casual violence of certain individuals and institutions, we will, as per Chief Jim Hopper, punch some people in the face when they seek to destroy what we have envisioned for ourselves and the marginalized. And we will do it all with soul, with heart, and with joy. We thank you for this responsibility!"
It definitely was quite a mouthful -- and Winona wasn't the only one to recognize that. Jonah Hill, who came on to present the next award following Harbour's speech, was also a little caught off guard.
"Uhh, okay, glad I followed that. That was very cool," Hill fumbled out.
