Gaddafi was building the largest clean water irrigation system throughout Africa while we pollute our cities and fluoridate our water.
Gaddafi gave stipends to newly married people and had an excellent education system while most of our youth will pay forever for their student loan "indoctrination" (not education).
If your disorder/disease could not be cured by the Lybian doctors the Gaddafi government would pay to send you any place in the world for medical attention while we have no real health care system.
Lybia was a true democracy while we have no representation. We can't even read out laws (pelosi comment "we have to pass this bill so we can see what's in it")
It goes on and on.

I wanted to add this. I've been in technical sales for almost 40 years. Back than female engineers were few and far between. The only female engineers I dealt with were from Libya and Iran mostly. Not bad for misogynist cultures huh?  And they were at the top of their game. Sad what our evil empire has done to the Middle East, oh yeah and Africa, Asia, South America too. 
Perhaps we forgot that when Spain was ruled by the Moors religious tolerance was accepted there, Geometry, Algebra, etc flourished, than came 1492 and the rape of the planet began.
