This will certainly upset a lot of religious people. It will upset them even more when one day soon they discover that most religions have been created as a means by which to control the masses--created by those very people who have been controlling the planet for thousands of years. Won't it be nice when people realize that they do not need a middle man to tell them about God, interpret teachings or to communicate with God? People might actually learn to think for themselves and become the self-empowered beings that they are supposed to be.

Just when I thought religion was a lost cause, I ran into this video starring Bishop John Shelby Spong of the Episcopal Church. Not only does he cut through the crap that has plagued mainstream religion for centuries, but Spong finds a way to frame God and religion in a way that doesn't doom you to eternal, fiery, damnation-a-plenty hell for sleeping in on Sundays.
