Our Brains Are Instruments of Polarity – by ~Jean, October 3, 2012.

How many of you realize that
when you pray for peace, if you pray from your brain, it is a fact that
you will also create the polar opposite of that for which you pray? This
is a scientific fact. The book, The Secret, fails to mention this fact,
and its author now sits in jail because while he created all the
positive things for which he prayed, he also created its polar opposite:
several people died while attending a sweat lodge that he sponsored,
and as a result he now sits in jail.
When I talk about doing our inner
work, I’m talking about the work that will help us make the most
difficult and important journey of exploration humanity has ever been
invited to make: the inner journey from our heads to our hearts. Why do I say this? Unless we pray for peace from our hearts, our brains will always create the polar opposite of peace, which is war.
I hear lots of talk now about
creating peace, but creating peace is also an ‘inside job’, and it
happens one person at a time. Generally, it means we are willing to look
at our own dark side, something which requires some very real alone
time. It means we are willing to stop and sit alone with ourselves and
meet our demons head on and conquer them, with or without the help of
guides, be they professional or not. It means that we are willing to
take charge of the memories which we hold, most often unconsciously by
bringing them into consciousness and then learning different ways to
look at them and to respond to them when we are triggered by them. It
means taking personal responsibility for this effort and making sure we
follow through on it, pursuing it when it is necessary, even though we
may be exhausted from our efforts. In the end, the result is that we
bring our brains into the service of our hearts, which is where it
rightfully and happily belongs.
Creating peace very likely does not
mean gathering together in a feel-good group that really does not
understand what it means to live in our hearts. Too often these groups
are made up of people who come together to avoid dealing with their
personal pain. Such group gatherings are all about living in our brains –
not in our hearts. Political groups and activist groups that work for
positive goals are often prime examples of this. I had a huge ah-ha
moment when I heard Eckhart Tolle’s words on this. It is very difficult
to stand for or against something and come from a place of perfect inner
peace.
Instead, we
can find groups of people who are interested in their own individual
healing, and I am sure you all can offer ideas concerning many such
groups, whether they be in places like new age churches, in therapy
groups, or even in yoga-type groups. In order to learn to live in
our hearts, it is actually possible for us to consciously learn to
physically move our spirits into our hearts, which by the way have brain
cells and far more energetic power than the brain, and we can choose to
learn what it feels like to be there as we interact with people in our
group. We can learn how to return again and again to our hearts until we
no longer have to leave that space.
When you have cleared the trauma of
your memories – and such trauma afflicts everyone, because it is an
essential part of polarity/duality, then the way to your heart is
opened, and you begin to better have the ability to discern with clarity
who speaks the truth, and who does not. When you know yourself, know
your traumas, know your issues – and how to manage them, then without
doubt you know everyone else. It is that simple and that difficult.
Humility is required, and so is the willingness to stand without masks
before friends, as we discover underneath we are all the same, living
with the same fears and the same hopes and dreams. We just want to be
loved!
Ascension is not a gift. It requires
work. The earth is a school, and graduation is approaching. If you
don’t graduate now, you will get another chance, because we are all
eventually going to return to Source. We are on a free-will planet, so
the choice is yours. How will you spend your time, effort, money, and
energy in the next few months, or perhaps years? Do you want to graduate
this time? To what extent will you go to make sure you travel with
Mother Earth on her journey? Her journey is not about fixing what is
badly broken; it is about creating heaven on earth!

Many people say they believe in God, but believing in God is not the
same as having a direct experience of God. Direct means first-hand—not
second-hand. It is not hearsay or conjecture. Direct means something
happens to you. You go through something, and then you can say you have
had an experience. Throughout history, belief in God has resulted in
people gathering for worship in churches, mosques and temples. All over
the world people still congregate based on similar beliefs about God.
But how many can really say they know God?
Love and faith are the two most important qualities that make a
substantial relationship with God possible. Love pulls you to the Divine
Being; faith expects that something real will happen. Love connects you
and God together; faith brings trust that God will respond to your
hopes. Love creates the opening for something genuine to occur in
relationship with God; faith reaches out beyond what is comfortable,
stretching you to feel and see what you long for with your whole heart,
mind and soul.
A direct experience of God requires love and faith, both of which
play integral roles in preparing you to meet God. With love and faith,
you let the Divine Being know you care enough so that God will come and
give you God’s Self. You have to silence the mind and the emotions and
develop a stillness that can wait for a response from God. With
meditation and prayer, a person can clear the mind of the world and the
distractions of the senses in preparation for this meeting with God. God
will come when you have cleared away all the other gods in your life,
and this takes work, patient, and diligent effort.
The initial phase of this preparation can be somewhat discouraging
because the most dark and detrimental parts of your nature show up for
review. You just can’t ask God to come into a place soiled with dirt,
confusion, and negative energy, so you will have to make a clean and
wholesome space before you invite God to reside in you. Often you will
need a Teacher–someone who has had a direct experience of God, who can
see what needs to be drawn out of you–to help you clear the space within
you.
All the mystics and saints have described direct experience of God in
much the same ways. Each describes experiencing the love of their life
in the embrace of God’s kiss and God’s presence. No fear can exist in
the presence of God since God is all love and light. God is inside you
and is loving you with every ounce you are willing to receive, and this
experience will move you from belief to knowing. When you come into a
direct experience of the God at the center of your being, it will change
you completely, and you will know a profound peace that cannot be
disturbed by the confusion of the world.
