Thank you for watching. Have a nice day! My channel: https://goo.gl/vCXdrM ABOUT: ATesla whistleblower is claiming the company covered up drug trafficking at its Nevada gigafactory by employees linked to a Mexican cartel, as well as the rampant theft of raw materials.Former security guard Karl Hansen says the electric car company launched an 'internal investigation' after a May 24 tip-off from the DEA that 'significant amounts' of cocaine and crystal meth were being exchanged by staff.Hansen makes a series of other extraordinary claims in a public letter issued by his lawyers on Thursday, including that Tesla failed to disclose the alleged theft of $37 million in copper and raw materials and spied on staff. It comes as Tesla's shares slumped 8 percent in the wake of a bombshell interview with CEO Elon Musk in which he burst into tears, asked for someone to take his job and admitted he relies on Ambien to sleep.Musk has dismissed Hansen as 'super nuts' and the company issued a statement on Thursday saying some of his claims were 'outright false' while others were 'not corroborated'.They also said Hansen not engaged with their efforts to understand how he had come up with some of the allegations.Hansen, who is represented by law firm Meissner Associates, says Tesla acted on the DEA tip-off by commissioning its own internal review, but then failed to pass their findings on to the authorities. He also says the company broke its promise to appoint external investigators to look into the matter. However, the DEA on Thursday denied it would ever inform 'non-law enforcement entities' about 'current or pending investigations', apparently undermining the whistleblower's account.Hansen also identifies a series of other alleged failings by Tesla managers. He says $37 million of raw materials was stolen from between January and June, but employees were told not to report this to law enforcement. He also complains about the treatment of Martin Tripp, a former Tesla process technician who has also accused the company of wrongdoing.Hansen claims Tesla installed 'specialized router equipment within its Nevada Gigafactory designed to capture employee cell phone communications and/or [.]cell phone data.' The firm allegedly accessed Tripp's cellphone, even after the termination of his employment.According to the Meissner Associates letter, Musk himself was responsible for these measures, and that Tesla staff who spied on trip were ex-employees of Uber who had been accused of a similar scandal earlier this year. That case, in which Uber staff were alleged to have wiretapped Uber's competitors Waymo, was settled out of court for $245 million in Uber equity.Several ex-Uber employees now work for Tesla, and only one was named in the letter - Nick Gicinto, former head of Uber's Strategic Services Group. In messages to Gizmodo, Musk defended this employee. He said: 'Nick Jacinto (sic) was thrown under the bus by Uber for the sins of others.'You should at least read his counters
