We can watch for more displays like this over the next couple of days, the best viewing time to be Thursday after midnight beginning in the southwest toward the constellation Orion.

They will appear with increasing frequency through Sunday, the National Weather Service said.

I saw a news report that stated that this was likely a piece of HALEY'S comet that had broken off....WHAT??!!! THAT seems quite "far-fetched" to me...unless Haley is around somewhere, hiding. Anyone know where Haley is? I thought it wasn't supposed to be close for another 60 years or something...?

HerbLady- Yes, and I probably deserved that- When we were grilling and hickory smoking a couple of racks of ribs, the water spigot was on the other side of the house- Never needed it before- Oh, well, shit happens- :oops: :shock: :affraid:

I put up an article about it showing this weekend. It is in Weather and Solar etc. forum. Look towards Orion this weekend.

The stuff happening is not from meteors I don't think. Weird.

Yep, it sure was! 3 fingers and a thumb looked like they had skin marbles- I tell you what, I'd rather be shot with a .32 in the leg- Probably wouldn't have hurt so bad- 3 weeks later, though, they didn't look too bad- That'll be the LAST time, now, I'll bet you-Good thing I didn't get hit by a car or truck- I'd have had a 'Run down' feeling for quite a while, I'm afraid- :shock: :affraid: :oops:
