Sounds like lots of political maneuvering going on in Iraq. Various "dinar gurus" have mentioned some of this, but the following write-up seems most cohesive and _might_ be a reasonably accurate depiction of what's going on. Note that "Shabs" is a reference to Shabibi, who has been governor of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Tony said that over 30 days ago he heard a date and if it didn’t happen by a certain date Shabs would be gone. Dan said the troops were there to keep people out of the cbi put to get people in it out.
Shabs, the VP and 12 other people, all gone. Just like when the IMF head was gone, things aren’t moving fast enough
Shabs wanted the situation stable, the higher ups wanted it now and said they don’t care, do it now. Shabs was putting too many guidelines on things, banks, and was in the way.
Multiple stories are coming out, it will rv now, it will take longer, have to wait for Maliki, the elections, etc, everything is coming out.
Gary is trying to figure it out. Shabs was going to retire in a couple of months and thinks they pushed him out earlier, they don’t know why.
Tony: we didn’t see any news from any of the other leaders when 2 weeks ago they all were complaining about Maliki being in control of $70 billion; now they are silent???
Tony said his guy in Iraq they saw planes in the air and landing today they have never seen before, US forces are guarding all 4 of the CBI’s in the country. There is no money going in the CBI or coming out. People in the building are being restricted to some areas of the building. The smart cards, his guy didn’t get paid yet, they are getting paid in groups. Iraqi people think Shabs is being set up by Maliki, there is 90 billion dollars missing that was moved to Iran. They also heard that Maliki was going away after this is done. Tony said when he gave his back wall date of Oct 15 2 weeks ago that was to get it done or Shabs was gone. Our government is there to make this orderly (Me: is this why McDonough was there with Maliki on Monday??)
Tony: Shabs had a principle of having a stable government and wasn’t going to bend as he felt it was his duty to Iraq, the PTB said that’s fine you have principles but we need it now. Shabs didn’t want to tarnish his name, he wasn’t happy that they didn’t hold up to their word and appoint govt.
When M took the action to arrest Shabs, he jumped the gun. The PTB said you are not going to do that to him, he has been our guy also, they got the arrest warrant reversed, he is basically “retired”. [b]
