It's the 40th anniversary of "Sheik Yerbouti" released #OnThisDay in 1979!

Sheik Yerbouti is FZ's biggest selling album world-wide with over 2 million units sold. The single "Dancin' Fool" reached 45 on the US charts, and was nominated for a GRAMMY for "Best Male Vocal". FZ also performed the song on Saturday Night Live in October '78. The second single "Bobby Brown" received considerable airplay in Europe and Scandinavia despite its lyrical content.

Bonus Vaultmeister Notes: FZ originally considered the album titles "Martian Love Secrets" and "Baby Snakes" before deciding on "Sheik Yerbouti".
