This is the description that Samantha Horowicz wrote with the pictures:
‘Driving up north in Wisconsin.. and saw this purple streak across the sky.. then drove under it.. never seen anything like it before.. it was so vibrant in the dark unlit sky minus a few headlights. Any idea? So pretty.. pictures don’t even do it justice! (I’m not driving, I’m passenger )‘
If you look the comments on the post, you will also see that the light is actually hovering Northfield, Wisconsin.
Any idea what this mysterious purple sky phenomenon could be? I still don’t know.
However, this purple sky phenomenon occurred many times across the US and even the world back in 2018. Purple lights also lit up the sky over Florida and Ohio during Hurricane Michael.
