A UK-US travel firm is offering wealthy explorers the chance to descend to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
Situated in the western Pacific Ocean, this crescent-shaped deep-sea trench descends to an incredible depth of almost 11km and is thought to be the deepest point on the Earth's surface.
So few people have visited this dark, alien world at the bottom of the sea that more people have actually walked on the surface of the Moon - it is one of the most extreme places on Earth.
Now though, one firm is offering you the opportunity to become the next person to go there.
Travel company EYOS Expeditions has teamed up with Caladan Oceanic to offer three lucky (and extremely wealthy) individuals the chance to descend to the bottom of the Mariana Trench as part of the "Ring of Fire Expedition" which is set to take place later this year.
It's currently unclear exactly how much the trip will cost, however there has been speculation in the media that it could be anywhere from $100,000 to $1 million per person.
Those that do participate will spend 14 hours in the submersible with the descent alone taking 4 hours.
Once they leave the surface behind however, they will be treated to an experience found nowhere else on Earth - an otherworldly voyage into the darkness at the bottom of the sea.
Whether anyone will be brave (and rich enough) to take part however remains to be seen.
