For those US citizens that are waiting to go through the trust system, be prepared to provide your state file number from your birth certificate. Sometimes it is not shown on non-certified or older birth certificates in which case you will need to get a certified copy of your birth certificate per the instructions in the link below. Keep in mind that you will need a birth certificate that is 3 years old or less for Authentication. Birth Certificate Authentication is the verification that all signatures are real and correct. This authentication is required to obtain full Secured Party Creditor Status (SPC).
