Airline pilots report 'guy with jetpack' at 3,000ft

Two pilots spotted the real-life Rocketeer while coming in to land at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday.
A man flying a jetpack is just about the last thing any airline pilot would expect to see, especially while approaching the busy airpspace above a major international airport.
This was the sight that met the pilots of American Flight 1997 at the weekend, however, with both describing what they believed to be a "guy in a jetpack" 300 yards off their wing.
The sighting was particularly unusual because they were still 3,000ft in the air at the time and there are very few jetpacks actually capable of propelling someone at such an altitude.
The fact that the culprit was flying around above a major airport makes it even more bizarre.
Yves Rossy's experimental winged jetpack may be capable of such a feat, however his past flights have all been high-profile affairs carried out in remote areas.
So who could be flying around by themselves above Los Angeles International Airport ?
The search for answers continues.
