Dr. William Schaffner spoke on CNN on Friday and offered what may be considered an update to recommendations to the public regarding the pandemic situation. The panel mainly discussed masks and vaccinations.
“Is it time for the idea of cloth masks to be tossed out altogether? It’s surgical masks, it’s N95s, anything else is kind of just a waste of time?” the host asked Dr. Schaffner.
“Well, I think cloth masks that are thick, two and three layers, continue to provide good protection.” “And we have to remind people, first of all, to use those masks. And, second, to use them up above the nose. Down here [the doctor pointed to his mouth area], that doesn’t count.”

This new CNN declaration that masks “are not appropriate in this pandemic” is an Orwellian escalation. Can the media produce amnesia on demand? And will the people cooperate by wiping their own memories? Completely intentional. The ultimate power move

pivoting to the subject of vaccinations, Dr. Schaffner went on: “So, I think masking, social distancing, I think we can weather this next storm.” “We will have some tough times because of all the travel and the wonderful celebrations we’ve had over the holidays, we’re going to continue to see an uptick in cases. But after that, I hope things go down, as long as we keep vaccinating.”
“Those children, everybody who’s eligible for boosters, and maybe we can get
some of those folks who have been stubbornly resisting vaccination into the greater group of those that are accepting vaccines.”

The doctor then moved on to the subject of children and =k2&utm_source=search&utm_medium=site-search&utm_term=user-search]vaccination, asserting: “Well, I think that boosters will help solidify the protection among children.” “And I know that all the pediatricians and family doctors out there are saying, ‘If you have any questions about the safety and effectiveness of vaccinating your child, come see me.'” “Because those pediatricians and family docs are ready to give good comforting advice. You don’t have to listen to Bill; [referring to himself] listen to the person who takes care of your child.”
Findings from a new study provide guidance for increasing the effectiveness of face masks to reduce the spread of respiratory infectious pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2. The findings, which appear in the American Journal of Infection Control (AJIC), the journal of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), identify specific face mask combinations and fit modifications that can be implemented by healthcare workers, patients, and the public to improve mask fit and performance.

CNN “experts” admitting cloth masks don’t work to stop covid after over a year of insisting everyone wear them to stop covid is perfect. There should be no mask requirements anywhere. It’s totally pointless.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a mask that is multi-layered, covers the nose and mouth, and forms a tight seal against the face. “The performance of face masks as devices that control infection spread depends upon both the ability of the mask material to filter aerosols and on how well the mask fits the wearer,” said Francoise M. Blachere, MSc., Research Biologist, of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the paper’s lead author.
