A city in Brazil put an immediate halt to vaccines for youngsters after a 10-year-old girl suffered a heart attack mere hours after her first Pfizer injection.
The incident happened last week in Lençóis Paulista, a State of São Paulo, also known as “The World’s Vaccine Capital” due to its extremely high vaccination rate among adults.
Reports claim 10-year-old Luisa Petenuci received a Pfizer jab on Tuesday, January 18th.
A photo uploaded to social media shows the moment the asthmatic youngster got jabbed.
“According to her father, the 10-year-old experienced changes in heart rate shortly after and collapsed unexpectedly,” reports TheCovidWorld.com.
“She was then rushed to a private hospital where the 10-year-old had to be resuscitated.”
“After being stabilized, Luisa was then transferred to Unimed Hospital in Botucatu where she currently remains in intensive care.”

The city reportedly dispatched health department workers to follow up with 46 other children who were also vaccinated.
A statement by the Center for Epidemiological Surveillance of São Paulo condemned city officials’ correlation of the child’s heart attack with the vaccine and dubbed their assumption “hasty and irresponsible.”
In a follow-up statement from the CVE on Thursday announcing the outcome of an investigation, they said they “ruled out the adverse post-vaccination event in the 10-year-old child,” and claimed there was “no causal relationship between vaccination.”
“The analysis, carried out by more than 10 specialists, pointed out that the child had a rare congenital disease, not known to the family, which triggered the clinical framework,” purported the agency.
