The video went viral because Americans feel like their country is in a terminal decline – and, historically, declining empires experienced a loss in basic public services like water and sanitation.
Also, while many Americans are lamenting the loss of trust in government institutions, they’re also starting to notice rampant inflation and empty store shelves, especially of food items they once took for granted.
