We Are All Connected, But How?
We are all made of stardust — a
powerful statement, but what does it mean to be cosmic dust sprinkled
with consciousness and birthed upon the flesh of ourselves?
Tonight, go outside and look up, but this time look up with a new understanding.
I want you to know and understand fully that the lights you are seeing
are an energy created by nuclear fission at the stars’ cores. Also know,
that these fission reactions are the very same reactions that created
the elements of which life is made of, and the same elements by which
you exist today.
Through one explosion into
another, as the universe constantly expands in size and complexity, our
particles are shot through reaction after reaction, until we are molded
together in various forms. For millennia we spiral, explode, mold, and
explode again until eventually we combine with ourselves in such complex
forms that inevitably we begin to react upon ourselves.
We go through this process for
millennia after millennia, until inevitably strange things begin to
happen to us. Soon there are galaxies forming within us, which have
planets forming within them, which orbit stars — stars with reactions
like the ones that created these particles to begin with. This
pattern continues until the miracle of life is conceived, and these
particles continue to change through life and death, until inevitably
our bodies form upon the surface of The Earth.
Through the consciousness that
permeates this entire universe, and silently observes this entire
process as it happens, somewhere beyond time and space, we are channeled
into these organic vehicles. And before these bodies were formed, these
elements existed elsewhere in other forms, and then were recycled into
these current arrangements for our consciousness to occupy.
By this same process they will
be recycled again when we die. This is the nature of life, and not only
do you exist of the dust of the stars, but also the stars exist of the
dust of you. We are all connected, for we are bound to them as they are
bound to us.
When asked, “What is the human
body made of?” know we are connected to one another through our biology,
to the Earth through our chemical matter, and to the universe through
our atoms. And further, all of this is a theatrical display on the stage
of consciousness, all being observed by consciousness — the very same
consciousness by which you are awake today.
I want you to feel big, to feel
humbled and to feel empowered by the profoundness of simple “waking”
life. It took a great many things to happen in incredibly unique ways
for you to have the body you have today, the planet you are able to
experience life in relation to, and for our planet to exist in relation
to other celestial bodies. These acts are nothing to the universe, and
ironically enough everything to us, since we are the universe.
Knowing all of this,
tonight, when you see the same stars you’ve seen every night since the
dawn of your birth, know you are looking into a mirror of sorts.
You are merely viewing one small corner of your whole self, and that
you will always be a part of this whole for as long as you are
consciousness. You will never be alone, because you are made of
stardust.
We are all connected by being made of stardust, so use this understanding to connect with your fellow humanity on the Harmana Facebook page and discuss this blog post on the Harmana forum by clicking here for a chance to share and grow your own ideas.
