A metal monolith similar to those found in other parts of the world, including the US and UK, appeared on Sunday in the Segovian town of Ayllon, in rural Spain. The sculpture is located in the ruins of the church of Santiago, with speculation that it could form part of the collective action of 'The most famous artist,' who took credit for placing monoliths in various parts of the planet. The Mayor of Ayllon, Maria Jesus Sanz, said it could be a joke, due to its placement and the fact that it is a rudimentary structure that has fallen down several times. In any case, she denied the town council had asked the citizens to come and see the sculpture. Footage shows onlookers photographing and observing the monolith.
