10 Signs You’re Probably In A Cult

SCAMMER ALERT! - Judy aka Quartz Crystal the Source Player is PLAYING You for DONATIONS! - PLUS A CULT MEMBER CONVERSATION - Page 6 1*nqu182x-l7fCndUDDg0FoQ

Cults aren’t as easy to spot as you might think. Most cults don’t wear robes or live in communes. In fact, most cult members don’t even realize they’re in a cult.
During my 25 years as an unwitting cult member, I would often watch documentaries and read about other cults. As I researched, I noticed 10 specific patterns that helped me recognize that I myself was in a cult:

1. The leader is the ultimate authority

If you’re not allowed to criticize your leader, even if the criticism is true, you’re probably in a cult.
Cults begin with a charismatic leader who claims some supreme knowledge. They may call themselves a prophet, messiah, messenger, or an enlightened teacher. They can also be CEOs, military officials, politicians, and self-help gurus.
Cult leaders convince members to forfeit their critical thinking ability in return for a sense of belonging, authority, and purpose. To members, it doesn’t matter what the evidence or logic may suggest, the leader is always right, and their misdeeds are always justified. Criticism of the leader is forbidden.

2. The group suppresses skepticism

If you’re only allowed to study your organization through approved sources, you’re probably in a cult.
Cults view critical thinking as an infectious disease and every effort is made to suppress it. Doubting members are encouraged to isolate themselves from outside influences and focus solely on the doctrine of the cult.
Criticism is forbidden. People who contradict the group are viewed as persecutors and are often given labels like “anti,” “apostate,” or “suppressive person.” Members are discouraged from consuming any material that is critical of the group.

3. The group delegitimizes former members

If you can’t think of a legitimate reason for leaving your group, you’re probably in a cult.
Because the cult considers itself the ultimate authority on truth, it can’t imagine anybody leaving it with their integrity intact. Thus, it has to perpetuate a false narrative that former members were deceived, proud, immoral, or lazy.
If former members speak out, they are dismissed as bitter, angry, dishonest or evil. Cults often impose some kind of shunning to shame former members and prevent them from infecting other members with the truth.

4. The group is paranoid about the outside world

If your group insists the end of the world is near, you’re probably in a cult.
Cults position themselves as the sole refuge from an evil outside world that is intent on their destruction. Cults thrive on conspiracy theories, catastrophic thinking, and persecution complexes.
In an effort to draw in more paying members, cults are often very aggressive in their recruitment efforts which are usually justified as “saving” people from the evil world. Those who reject the cult’s message are unelect, prideful, evil, or stupid.

5. The group relies on shame cycles

If you need your group in order to feel worthy, loved, or sufficient, you’re probably in a cult.
Cult leaders trap members in shame cycles by imposing abnormally strict codes of conduct (usually prescriptions about diet, appearance, sex, relationships, media), guilting members for their shortcomings, and then positioning themselves as the unique remedy to the feelings of guilt which they themselves created.
Cult members are made to believe they are insufficient or unworthy on their own and that the only way to become worthy is to confess their shortcomings to the group or leader. The leader then becomes the meditiator of worthiness and the foundation of the member’s self esteem.
Leaders who can make followers feel bad about anything can use shame to manipulate followers into doing anything, even if it’s against their own self-interest or better judgment.

6. The leader is above the law

If you’re held to a different moral standard, specifically in regard to sex, you’re probably in a cult.
A prevalent idea among cult leaders is that they are above the law, be it human or divine. This idea allows them to exploit their followers economically and sexually without repercussions.
When confronted, they do not confess, but create justifications for their impropriety. Sexual grooming of members is common. Loyal cult members will perform any amount of “mental gymnastics” to justify or ignore the leader’s behavior.

7. The group uses “thought reform” methods

If your serious questions are answered with cliches, you’re probably in a cult.
Indoctrination or “brainwashing” is the process through which a cult slowly breaks down a person’s sense of identity and ability to think rationally. Behaviors like excessive fasting, prayer, hypnosis, scripture reading, chanting, meditation, or drug usage can all be used to increase a person’s vulnerability to the leader’s suggestions.
The hallmark of indoctrination is the use of thought-terminating cliches. Platitudes like “follow the leader” or “doubt your doubts” are regurgitated over and over so that members don’t have to critically analyze complex issues.

8. The group is elitist

If your group is the solution for all the world’s problems, you’re probably in a cult.
Cults see themselves as the enlightened, chosen, and elect organization tasked with radically transforming individual lives and the entire world.
This elitism creates greater sense of group unity and responsibility centered on a united purpose. However, this sense of responsibility is often manipulated by cult leaders who coerce members into risky financial behavior, sexual favors, free manual labor, or heightened recruitment efforts in order to “further the cause.”

9. There is no financial transparency

If you’re not allowed to know what the group does with their money, you’re probably in a cult.
A group that refuses to disclose its finances is a huge red flag. Ethical organizations have nothing to hide. Cult leaders tend to live opulently while their followers are required to make financial sacrifices. Members are often encouraged to pay their offerings even if it means putting their families at risk.

10. The group performs secret rites

If there are secret teachings or ceremonies you didn’t discover until after you joined, you’re probably in a cult.
Cults use secret rituals as rites of passage that solidify a member’s loyalty to the group. Initiation into these rites usually only comes after a member has undergone certain tests or made adequate financial contributions.
Often, cult initiations are confusing, bizarre, or even offensive. This mental dissonance between their sense of confusion and their loyalty to the “inner circle” convinces the initiate to double their efforts in order to properly appreciate the proceedings. This only further entrenches them in a shame cycle, making them even more susceptible to manipulation.

If you don't know anything about her then you can't say that she is a manipulator. All she does is ask for donations while providing actually valuable content, unlike other youtube channels.

Replying with Graphics for better understanding.

SourceTruth :
How do you know that she HAS gained 25 kg and IS sexually active? There is nothing which indicates she is sexually active, and as for her weight gain, it is not reliable to determine the amount of weight change by just looking at pictures. I can't even say for sure if she has gained weight, but I will not judge her for it.

Heyy Fatty Face Boom Boom!  Bulging Neck & Upper Arms!  Must be enormous further down.  (THANKS TO RAMBLERNASH for supplying this photo!)

The reason for not eating meat is not weight loss at all, that is just a plus to it.

Duhhh the "plus" is NOT WORKING! Judy CLEARLY STATES avoiding meat will elevate Frequency PLUS "THE WEIGHT WILL JUST DROP OFF".  Hey Fatty Boom Boom!

Kissing someone on the cheek like her husband did is not sexual behavior, it is an act that shows love.

Poor Friendzoned Husband LOL, No sausage & Eggs for him.  Behaviour is in VERY POOR TASTE while lecturing about Celibacy!

"Any medical professional"? Do you gave anything to support this claim?

Start with G.  Google Face Fat indicates Body Fat.  Your GP, ask him next time you see him.

CONCLUSION :  DECEPTION.  DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO.

You are the one that called this Thread a Smear Campaign.  Cult is quite descriptive for "Source Player Guidance" that summons Demons with a Pendulum!

RamblerNash :
If you notice when it started to fall, that's when Judy started to repeat the same messages, but with newer videos.

If the Views on her Youtube Videos is anything to go by, there seems to be a drop in them as well, similar time frame.

Hopefully the upside of this prolific fraud and donation whore telling people to be celibate the gene pool will be helped slightly in that the nutters and dumb bunnies following this nonsense will not procreate.

You made me LOL.  The recreational side of Procreating is far too enjoyable, even Judy indulges now & again, passionate moments with husband in between filming her School Ma'am Style instructions for Manifestation.  What if someone, who finds it hard to conceive, wants to manifest a baby I wonder?  Hmmm...

Are you serious comparing Judy with other Youtubers advocating prosperity? Abraham Hicks at least is contactable, so is Teal Swan & Infinite Waters (class compared to QC). Nothing Judy claims about the Matrix is unique or original, spinoff from 3 mentioned. All are open to donations using less offensive methods. However NONE of them claim to have "won" the Game of Life! All cite Sources for their knowledge, Judy does not. They have interactive question & answer sessions, not hiding behind glasses & hats, all are shining examples of what they preach, eat, sex, body care, etc. credible!

Sourcetruth

Judy actually teaches you and focuses on a lot of things that other spiritual youtube channels don't teach, and she provides a lot of original information.

Actually she does have an original model of the matrix. The other youtubers don't teach you to escape the matrix and they teach false and misleading information, unlike Quartz Crystal.

Scam Awareness is not negative, unless you are the scammer.

If the cult member recognition topics don't appeal to you, how about MLM?

Multi-Level Marketing and Self-Help Cult Groups: Learn the Warning Signs

SCAMMER ALERT! - Judy aka Quartz Crystal the Source Player is PLAYING You for DONATIONS! - PLUS A CULT MEMBER CONVERSATION - Page 6 Con-medium-400x265
I recently wrote about religious and political cult groups that manipulate and control members and how it is important to evaluate the major behaviors and characteristics of a group to see if it meets the criteria of a cult. In addition to religious and political groups, there are other types that recruit millions of people all over the world, but, in reality, use deception and coercive influence with cult-like features. These are multi-level marketing (MLMs) and self-help groups and Large Group Awareness Training groups (LGATs). It is important to recognize the warning signs so as to avoid being caught up in their trap.
MLMs have been called many names, including network marketing, social marketing, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, product-based sales, referral marketing, and direct sales. A few examples include Amway, Herbalife, Mary Kay, LulaRoe, doTerra, and Consumers Buyline.  Consumers Buyline was NXIVM leader’s Keith Raniere’s MLM before it was shut down by 20 attorneys general. Raniere went on to form a coaching MLM scheme which has landed him in jail and convicted of racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, sex trafficking, and involuntary servitude. At this time, he awaits sentencing.
MLMs are pyramid schemes that focus on recruiting people to recruit others, presumably giving a cut of the income up the chain. Statistics show that over 99% of people involved lose money. An article on MagnifyMoney.com, about a survey involving 1,049 multi-level marketing scheme participants — from a variety of MLMs — and found that most people were making less than 70 cents an hour (before deducting business costs) and 60% of participants said they had made less than $500 in the past five years. For about $100 of annual profit, the fact that anybody would stay in an MLM for five minutes let alone five years seems ridiculous.
To better understand how MLMs recruit and maintain participants requires we examine them as cults. Destructive mind control can be determined when the overall effect of the four components of the BITE model(Behavior, Information, Thought and Emotion Control) promotes dependency and obedience to some leader or cause. (To learn more, download this detailed handout on The BITE Model or read Combating Cult Mind Control which explores cult psychology, curing the mind control virus, how to protect people you care about and strategies for recovery.)
Most MLMs use tactics of recruitment, financial manipulation, and the promise of large profits. But they also work the same as other cults, with thought control, magical thinking, thought-stopping, and self-blame.Failures are blamed directly on the consultants, for lack of hard work or competence. The authority of the group has no accountability and the leaders do not allow for questions or criticism. Douglas Brooks Esq. has said of MLMs, “…you’re trained to avoid people who question whether this is a viable business or not. Which is exactly the same technique that cults use — they try to isolate you from people who question your belief system.”
Recruiters are very convincing. They use deception in all its forms (withholding vital information, distorting information and outright lying) to ensnare people who have not learned about cult mind control techniques. There is none of this cultish recruiting in a regular sales job.
The Federal Trade Commission states about MLMs, “Not all multilevel marketing plans are legitimate. Some are pyramid schemes. It’s best not to get involved in plans where the money you make is based primarily on the number of distributors you recruit and your sales to them, rather than on your sales to people outside the plan who intend to use the products.” This is strange languaging from the FTC as my understanding is that no MLM is legitimate in terms of an honest business devoid of destructive mind control.
Robert Fitzpatrick, the co-author of False Profits: Seeking Financial and Spiritual Deliverance in Multi-Level Marketing and Pyramid Schemes is an expert in examining and revealing deception and fraud in bogus home-based businesses. Of MLMs, he says, “Reality: the MLM “distributorship” is a ruse, an absurd, pseudo-business to facilitate and cheaply disguise a blatant pyramid recruiting scheme and to draw people into a cultic fantasy world that dominates their thinking, keeps charging money,  and promises “unlimited income” based on the illusion of an “endless chain.”
He further describes multi-level marketing as, “A sales model in which salespeople buy products, but don’t actually sell them, and instead are offered rewards if they recruit other salespeople to do the same, with each level of the chain promoting the opportunity to extend the chain – forever – and most of the total rewards are routed to the top of the sales channel?”
The Direct Selling Association (DSA)–is a lobbying organization for MLMs which promotes and defends its MLM members, one and all, in court, on Capitol Hill and in the media. Betsy Devos, the current secretary of education in the Trump administration, daughter-in-law of Amway founder Richard Devos, is trying to deregulate MLMs.
I have written other blogs on this form of a commercial cult phenomenon:  Beware the “Main Street Bubble” of Multi-Level Marketing Groups Without U.S. Government Protection, Multi-Level Marketing Groups Defraud Consumers! And Questionable Legislation Sponsored to Make Pyramid Schemes Legal.
I have interviewed attorney Douglas Brooks, an expert on MLMs who has represented victims for many decades. He has been outspoken about how MLMs and cults use the same mind control techniques. Doug recently attended an ICSA conference with me in Manchester, England and gave a talk on multi-level marketing groups. You can watch part of his talk, here.
I also had a video discussion in 2014 with Douglas Brooks Esq. and Robert Fitzpatrick, exposing network marketing. This video was made following a meeting we had with then-congressman Barney Frank who referred our information on to Senator Elizabeth Warren’s office.
Self-help or self-development groups use self-improvement and counseling to target people and corporations, making claims that by taking their courses and seminars, you will be successful. They exercise an intense group influence and can have a major impact on their members’ mental status. Members lose their personal boundaries. They put the leader or guru on a pedestal. Criticism against the leader or the group is met with resistance.  These groups will often rent large hotel spaces and run workshops and seminars for many days, often 12 hours a day. These groups are also called Large Group Awareness Trainings or LGATs. They promise personal transformation but are not run by trained mental health professionals. Nor are there any sufficient screening done ahead of time to determine if a person is too unstable or in too fragile a point in their lives. Very powerful hypnotic techniques are often used in these trainings as well as powerful public confrontations using curse words and other shock techniques. If you wish to get a sense of one of the most financially successful transformational groups, look at Netflix’s Tony Robbins: I am Not Your Guru. Robbins is trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and he well knows the power of hypnotic words. “Don’t think of a white horse” and you think of one. “I am not your guru” and guess what, the second generation Children of God woman he says this to in the documentary, later tells her he will mentor her. It was so very upsetting for me to watch.
“Followers lose a sense of their personal boundaries, assuming that it’s a safe space for ‘transformation.’ In fact, it’s inherently unsafe, since the group’s boundaries and rules are poorly defined as well.”
Motivational “self-improvement” programs and products including books, speeches and seminars, and self-help organizations are a $9.9 billion market, according to the independent research firm Marketdata Enterprises.
These groups take advantage of ones that are looking for guidance and assistance by taking their money under false pretenses and exercising coercive influence over their thoughts and emotions.  They often encourage you to recruit friends and family. And, as in the case of NXIVM, members sometimes fall under the influence of a charismatic leader, leading participants to harm themselves and/or others. Teal Swan is a “spiritual guru” that uses YouTube videos to exploit people struggling with depression.
I have previously written about the group NXIVM: Keith Raniere and NXIVM on Trial: Mind Control and Manipulation, NXIVM: Robert Jay Lifton’s Criteria of Thought Reform as Analyzed by Expert Paul Martin, Ph.D.

If you don't know who she is then you know nothing about her, simple as that.
topspin2 gave you an excellent suggestion.

You did a half-assed job at #1, ignored #2, and jumped directly to #3.

You don't need personal knowledge of someone to see the warning signs.

If the Views on her Youtube Videos is anything to go by, there seems to be a drop in them as well, similar time frame.
You'll also see a slight bump since "Sourcetruth" started dropping all those links on various forums...

If you don't know them you don't have the knowledge to make a full judgement about them. Is that not true? He is just basing his opinion off of what he read about her from those on this thread, not from actually looking at her channel.

You could probably say the same things that you do about any youtuber who is spiritual or asks for donations.

But there is no GROUP related to Quartz Crystal, this is talking about a group. This is just a single youtube channel run by a husband and wife, nothing wrong with that. And because her message is true, she can't have any bad intent.

People do all sorts of things to monetize their youtube channels, such as make patreons. How is Quartz Crystal any different from anyone else who monetizes their youtube channel?

Investment scams - financial scams - Ponzi schemes
WHAT A CON ARTIST WILL TELL YOU:
Tactics con artists use to manipulate their victims and make them feel helpless
The first step • The next step • The final step • Examples of threats

Since con artists look for ways to manipulate strengths and weaknesses. They will either paint a picture of wealth and ease, or increase your darkest fears, or a combination of both.

In order to do this, a con artist will

 • play on your sympathies,

 • instill in you a sense of security in dealing with him or her,

 • separate you from your friends and family by placing extreme secrecy on all facets of the deal,

 • convince you to depend only on the scammer and to believe only in the scammer; convince you that your friends and family, banks and law enforcement, are all lying and that only the scammer is telling the truth.

 • and distract you from what is really going on using lies laced with enough truth to make the patter believable.  What we call "sleight of mind."

Their goal is to make you completely dependent on them.
Part of instilling complete dependency is to make you feel that your world may not be safe without their guidance.  Once you realize that none of the promises are forthcoming as you expected, the con artist uses that dependency as a threat.  He or she will yank the leash they have wrapped around your survival instincts, using either subtle scare tactics or outright threats of physical harm to you and your family.  (See What to do about threats from scammers)

The first step is for the con artist to determine your personality profile and identify your needs. He or she might zero in on your pride, your ego, your fears, your dreams, visions of riches, religious conviction, an illness, or your desire to get a special deal, or a combination of several traits.  Whatever works best for the given situation.
The next step is to make himself or herself appear  to be the only person on whom you can rely for the fulfillment of your wishes, desires, and/or personal safety.  Keep in mind that in order for the scam to work, the scam artist will gain your complete and unquestioning trust, and they are very, very skillful at doing this.
The final step is the move on your money or property.  The move may be so fast and skillful that your reaction time is delayed.  If the scam is long and involved,  you will be instilled  with a fear of contacting the authorities.  To accomplish this, the scam artist will use whatever fear is uppermost in your emotional catalog.  In your mind, you will feel that to take any action will either make you look foolish, and/or you will fear retribution from the con artist, and/or you will fear even the authorities themselves.  If the scam has gone on long enough, you have been brainwashed, quite literally, into believing the scam artist more than the authorities and those close to you.

Examples of threats:

1. If the scam is one in which banks are involved, you will be told that you cannot talk with bankers because: "they do not want you to know that deals like this are available and will simply deny the existence of such deals"; "if you talk with the banks, you will lose your money because the banks don't want the deals interfered with"; "the 'trader' will squash anyone's deal if the banks are contacted", etc. etc.
2. Religious scams provide the aura of mystical powers and spiritual magic which are: "too dangerous for you to know and can backfire if not handled properly."  Personal danger is often emphasized.
3. Medical scams offer cures that: "doctors don't want you to know about, so asking them won't do you any good - the medical authorities will only deny that such cures are possible" or "the doctors don't want you to know because this cure would mean a loss of income to them."  You are trapped between desperation for a cure and no means of verifying the information you are being given.
4. Home improvement scams by unlicensed and uninsured "contractors" leave you with enormous expenses, no improvements (and sometimes lots of un-improvements), and a contractor who has disappeared over the hill.
5. Modeling scams will promise you terrific jobs, travel, a world of dreams, and your only chance to get the break you've been looking for.
6. One phrase that is used to death is "If you don't act soon, not only will the deal no longer be available, but it could cost you more money".
7.  You will be made to feel special, admired, and if you don't do what the swindler tells you to do, you will lose it all and he will leave you.
8.  Nigerian-style scammers go straight for extortion and threaten bodily injury or death to you and/or family members if you don't send them money.

The list is endless - it only depends on what you need or think you need at the time.  The con artist will work you over so good that you will be confused to the point of total inaction except for what the con artist wants you to do.  YOU ARE IN A BOX.  YOU HAVE GIVEN AWAY YOUR FREEDOM.  THE CON ARTIST NOW OWNS YOU HEART AND SOUL.
Or so he would like you to think: Scam victims are not helpless; they are only made to feel that way.
